Summer, sun, sunshine
Summer activities in the Ötztal
There are many excursion possibilities in the Ötztal and depending on your mood, everyone will find their favorite place.
For all those who want to go high, the Timmelsjoch is a suitable destination. The high alpine road that connects the Ötztal with the South Tyrolean Passeier Valley winds its way over 30 hairpin bends and reaches its highest point at just under 2,500 meters. A touch of nostalgia can be found at the Rofenhöfen above Vent - at the head of the Ötztal valley. The historic farms can be reached via a short hike from Vent. Highlight of the hike, the suspension bridge over the Rofnerschlucht gorge. There are also several museums in the Ötztal, such as the local history museum, the nature park house and the Ötzi village. Less informative, but quite fun, is a game of mini golf or pit pat at the mini golf course in Längenfeld. Also absolutely worth seeing in the Ötztal are the Piburg Lake above Ötz or the Stuibenfall in Umhausen. And you can cool off at the bathing lake in Umhausen, in the AQUA DOME in Längenfeld or in bad weather in the Freizeit Arena in Sölden.
